BLACK
In memory of the fires in my native state of California, I wanted to create a visual keepsake of the trying times we all were faced with due to climate change. This piece was created from the wood panels of my apartment as I wanted to make it personal. I cut the pieces abstractly and spray painted them black to convey the dark times we all went through during the days of orange skies. The bamboo sticks sprouting from the black plane symbolize life, even after disaster.
